Welcome to the website for PSFS, the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society!
We are a membership-based organization of science fiction and fantasy fans based in Philadelphia, PA. PSFS had its first meeting in 1936, making us one of the oldest science fiction groups in the world. We are open to anyone interested in science fiction, fantasy, or horror, in all media from the written word to movies, TV, comics, games and gaming, and visual art.
Our next meeting will be Friday, July 12 at 7:30 pm. This virtual meeting will feature our annual Hugo Review Panel. During the Hugo Review Panel, a panel of volunteer readers discusses all the current Hugo nominees for novels, novellas, novelettes, short stories, graphic novels, and short and long-form dramas. This event is timed to come soon before the announcement of the year’s Hugo winners, and is a great way to learn about some of the previous year’s best writing and viewing.
